Choir

Choir LogoThe Campus View Elementary School Choir is made up of students in Grades 4 and 5.  The choir rehearses before school on Wednesday mornings at 8am.   We are enjoying another great year of singing!  In December, we performed at our school Craft Fair, the Saanich Municipal Hall’s “Deck the Halls” event and our school concert.  We are now preparing for our upcoming medieval musical “Joust” which we will perform on March 13th and 14th (1pm and 6pm both days).

What has the Campus View Choir done over the years?

During the 2016-2017 school year, our choir has performed at our Remembrance Day Assembly, our school Craft Fair and our Intermediate Concert.  We were honoured to perform “O Canada” on the main stage at the “Spirit of 150” event in downtown Victoria on New Year’s Eve and later at a Royals hockey game.  In March, we participated in our district “Victoria Sings” concert at the University of Victoria.

During the 2015-2016 school year, our choir performed the musical “Willy Wonka KIDS” in May.   Earlier in the year, they performed at our Remembrance Day Assembly, our Intermediate Concert, our school’s annual Craft Fair and as guests at the Crystal Singers “Home For Christmas” Concert.

During the 2014-2015 school year, the choir sang at the University Centre Auditorium for our district choral concert “Victoria Sings”.  They also sang at Saanich Municipal Hall and our own school concerts and assemblies.

During the 2013-2014 school year, the choir took part in events such as the “Deck the Halls Winter Lights Festival” at Saanich Municipal Hall and “Caroling” at Victoria City Hall.   The choir also performed “Pirates – the Musical” in May and did a fantastic job!

During the 2012-2013 school year, we attended events such as the “Deck the Halls Winter Lights Festival” at Saanich Municipal Hall, the District Choral Concert “Victoria Sings” and the Greater Victoria Performing Arts Festival.  At the festival, we were selected for the J. Philip Fawcett Bursary which we were awarded after our performance at the Honours Concert.
